PUMA (http:// puma.isti.cnr.it Publication Management) is a digital library management system for institutional repositories of technical or scientific documents, either published or self-archived.
Puma allows search and browse services, administrative and submission services.
The full text of documents is available only if not subjected to "copyright" rules.
PUMA assists scientists to make their research results world wide freely available, realizes the full cycle of the documents management through common web interfaces and provides:
- researchers
one common interface and uniform self-archiving system their work and management of access rights to the document;
- administrators
a tool for monitoring, evaluation, management, conservation and reuse of the same information / data to answer "services" different; - the scientific community
one common tool to access the "web" to information, promoting the international visibility and a more rapid dissemination of research results.
